I am Yang Jiang, a graduate student of Information Systems – Bridge at the San Jose campus. My journey at this campus has been filled with incredible experiences. Being in the heart of the Bay Area, where technology is constantly evolving, I have learned that it’s essential to keep learning and exploring new skills to stay relevant in the industry.

Campus and Faculties

The San Jose campus is unique and stands out from other campuses, as it is dedicated to technology enthusiasts. You will find students with laptops and notebooks all around, working on projects that could make a difference in people’s lives. Since it is a regional campus, the area is more compact, creating a close-knit community of students and faculty members.

The faculty members are experts in their respective research fields and bring with them extensive industry experience, with many having worked in the tech industry for over 10 years. They possess in-depth knowledge of current technologies and are eager to share their insights and best practices with their students. This guidance is invaluable and greatly enhances the learning process.

The campus staff at San Jose are knowledgeable and supportive, helping students achieve success in the tech industry. The student community is diverse, and we learn from each other’s experiences, creating a great learning environment.

Conferences and Events

Conferences are always important as they are a means of forming networks with people from various industries and understanding the industry where you want to work. Such conferences are also helpful in giving you clarity about what job will be good for you with your current skill set and which skills you still have to learn. Attending an event held by any company will always provide an outstanding experience. Startup and Meetup

Silicon Valley is the heart of the world’s high-tech companies and most of the companies started their journey from here. This is the land of opportunities, to network with people, see innovations and also contribute to some. Most of the meet-ups are about startups where you are most likely to find someone who can hire you to work for them. Some meetups are also about enhancing your skills.
